NoSQL Database Administrator

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

**NoSQL Database Administrator**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage databases through product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
- Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies
- Effectively work independently with mínimal supervision as well as working within a team environment

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience performing database administration tasks in an operational environment
- Expert level knowledge in one of MongoDB, Cassandra, or MySQL/MariaDB administration
- Demonstrable knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) methods
- Proficient in Linux/Unix
- Working knowledge of SQL query language
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team

**Education and Experience**:

- BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in database administration
