Accounting Supervisor

What you'll do
- Responsible for managing large volume of invoices per week with the capacity to handle increased volume; serve as the accounting gate-keeper to ensure all vendor invoices have been properly scanned, verified & recorded in accordance with corporate policy and procedure.
- Detailed and effective management of the invoice allocation, routing and approval process throughout the organization including knowledge of the PO & Non-PO invoices, timely follow-up to ensure processing in the appropriate financial accounting periods; Process weekly check runs including a strong understanding of cash management & Accrual principles.
- Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Performs annual evaluations and provides input into annual salary increases, bonuses and promotions.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of experience in AP function, minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience with Commerce background only.
- Strong working knowledge of P2P Processes, preferably SAP and Coupa
- Ability to process a high volume of data with accuracy.
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, and supervising the work of an accounts payable team.
- Experience with multi-entity structures & experience with multi-currencies
- Review AP aging for accuracy and completeness; follow up with internal stakeholders on open Work-Flow invoices.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to develop and maintain AP-related policies and procedures.
- Supervise & report team productivity workload to achieve an effective balance, meet departmental monthly & annual goals and maintain quality assurance; should be able to adjust workloads during short-term or extended staff absences
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization demonstrating a commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Develop great employees & motivate them to perform efficiently while creating a very positive work environment
- Effectively serve as the lead interface for all Accounts Payable Function matters for the auditors, including accurate and timely preparation of and explanations for all audit-related requests.
