**Overview**

RACE is building and deploying India’s most advanced battery-swapping infrastructure for use in 3-wheelers and 2-wheelers. We are a deep-tech start-up building and pushing the boundaries of battery-swapping technology. RACE was founded in Hyderabad in 2018 by two BITSian alumni with the intention of accelerating the electric vehicle adoption in India.

**Job Overview**:
**Roles & Responsibilities**

**1. Wiring Harness Assembly**:

- Cut, strip, and crimp wires to the required lengths and specifications.
- Assemble wires, connectors, terminals, and other components into wiring harnesses according to design requirements

**2. Soldering Operations**:

- Perform soldering operations to secure connections and splice wires within the wiring harness.
- Use soldering irons, heat guns, and other tools to solder connections and ensure proper bonding.
- Inspect solder joints for quality and integrity, reworking as necessary to meet standards.

**3. Quality Control**:

- Conduct visual inspections of completed wiring harnesses to verify correct assembly, wire routing, and component alignment.
- Perform electrical continuity tests and functional checks to ensure proper operation of the wiring harnesses.
- Implement quality control procedures to maintain consistency and reliability in the production process.

**4. Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of materials used, assembly procedures, and test results for each wiring harness.
- Complete production logs, work orders, and inspection reports to track progress and ensure traceability.

**5. Equipment Maintenance**:

- Maintain soldering equipment, wiring tools, and test instruments in good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, calibration, and replacement of worn parts.

**Qualifications**:

- ITI In Electrical or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or electrical assembly is preferred.
- Proven experience in soldering and wiring harness assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Proficiency in soldering techniques for both through-hole and surface mount components.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wire gauges, and color-coding standards.
- Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and precision tools.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
