Job Summary:
The Foundry Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the company. Ensuring production efficiency, quality control. This role involves supervising a team of foundry workers, coordinating production schedules and product flow, maintaining equipment, implementing process improvements and producing reports as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Supervision and Management:
- Lead and manage a team of foundry workers.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance, ensuring timely completion of production schedules.
2) Production Oversight:
- Plan, organize, and supervise the production process from making casting to finishing.
- Ensure all production activities comply with established quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
3) Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high-quality castings.
- Inspect and verify the quality of finished products, addressing any defects or inconsistencies.
4) Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
5) Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of foundry equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Manage inventory of tools, materials, and supplies needed for production.
6) Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
**Education**:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
**Experience**:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or related environment.
**Skills**:Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in reading technical drawings.
Experienced with measuring Instruments and calibration.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Capable of lifting heavy objects and working in high-temperature environments.
Working Conditions:
- Foundry Supervisors typically work in industrial environments that may involve exposure to heat, noise, and dust.
- May require working shifts including evenings, depending on production demands.
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ambattur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
