Assistant Professor of English

Responsibilities:
Teaching: The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering high-quality undergraduate and possibly graduate-level courses in English literature, language, composition, and related fields. They will design and implement engaging and innovative teaching methods, foster critical thinking, and create an inclusive learning environment that supports student success.
Mentorship and Advising: The Assistant Professor will provide academic guidance and mentorship to students pursuing degrees in English. They will participate in student advising, supervising undergraduate and possibly graduate research projects, and supporting students in their personal and academic growth.
Professional Development: The Assistant Professor will continuously engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest trends and advancements in English studies, pedagogy, and research methodologies.
**Qualifications**:
Education: A PgG degree with Ph.D. in English or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment.
Teaching Experience: Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level is desirable. Previous experience teaching diverse student populations and evidence of effective teaching strategies will be highly regarded.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to students, colleagues, and broader audiences.
**Salary**: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
