**Job Title: Government Relations Officer**

**Location: Borivali west**

The Government Relations Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the organization’s interactions with government agencies, legislators, and regulatory bodies. This role is critical in ensuring that the company’s interests are represented and advanced within the legislative and regulatory framework. The Government Relations Officer will develop and implement strategies to influence public policy, build and maintain relationships with government officials, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Policy Advocacy and Development**:

- Monitor and analyze proposed legislation, regulations, and public policy issues that could impact the organization.
- Draft position papers, policy briefs, and advocacy materials to communicate the organization’s stance on various issues.

**2. Relationship Management**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, legislators, and regulatory agency personnel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and government entities.
- Represent the organization at government meetings, hearings, and other official events.

**3. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs**:

- Ensure the organization’s operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with internal departments to prepare necessary documentation and reports for regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization and advise management accordingly.

**4. Strategic Planning**:

- Develop and implement long-term strategies for government relations and public policy advocacy.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities in the regulatory and political environment and develop plans to address them.
- Work with senior management to align government relations strategies with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.

**5. Communication and Reporting**:

- Prepare and deliver reports to senior management on government relations activities, policy developments, and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate complex regulatory and legislative information to internal stakeholders in an understandable manner.
- Coordinate with the communications team to manage public messaging related to government relations and policy issues.

**6. Lobbying and Representation**:

- Advocate for the organization’s interests directly with legislators, regulators, and other government officials.

**7. Issue Management**:

- Identify and address emerging public policy issues that could impact the organization.
- Develop strategies to mitigate potential risks and leverage opportunities arising from policy changes.
- Respond to government inquiries and manage crisis situations related to government relations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field, typically 3+ years.
- In-depth knowledge of the legislative and regulatory processes at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Strong network of contacts within government and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex policy issues and develop strategic responses.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹480,000.00 per year
