**Job Summary**

A South Indian Cook specializes in preparing authentic South Indian cuisine, including dishes like dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, pongal, chutneys, and a variety of rice-based meals. The role demands skill in traditional cooking methods, consistency in taste and quality, and the ability to maintain hygiene in a busy kitchen environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook traditional South Indian dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Maintain the quality, taste, and presentation of all food items
- Grind and prepare fresh masalas, chutneys, and batter (idli/dosa) daily
- Manage kitchen operations including food prep, cooking, and cleaning
- Monitor stock of ingredients and report requirements to the supervisor
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the cooking area
- Control food waste and portion sizes
- Follow standard recipes and adapt to customer taste preferences when needed
- Cooperate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food service
- Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Proven experience in cooking South Indian food (either at home, restaurants, or catering services)
- Expertise in dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, rice varieties, and chutneys
- Ability to manage bulk cooking if required
- Good knowledge of spices, tempering techniques, and traditional flavors
- Ability to work early mornings or split shifts (if breakfast service is required)
- Clean and hygienic working habits
- Team player with good time management

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or commercial kitchens
- Familiarity with North Indian or other regional cuisines is a bonus
- Basic communication skills in local language or English

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
