You will be a part of the Spiceworks Editorial team, which is responsible for creating industry-leading content for IT decision makers, technology evangelists, and developers. Spiceworks editorial team writes stories, develops enterprise-focused content and assets that help readers understand technological developments.

You will work closely with the Senior Editor to shape the voice and tone of the technology section. You will work closely with freelancers and guide them in developing search-optimized, relevant technology content. You’ll seek interview/feature opportunities with key influencers, tech news makers and have a keen eye for emerging trends and themes in technology. You will also serve as a resource in the newsroom and lend your voice in producing the best technology content for a global audience. You’ll also work on developing explainer videos.

Once you are onboarded, you’ll be given a complete walkthrough of everything you are expected to work on. You’ll also be assigned a work buddy for the initial few weeks to ease onboarding.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Planning and executing a strong mix of trendy technology news and impactful long-form content
- Editing and proof-reading long-form content
- Guiding freelancers and staff writers on SEO techniques and formatting
- Assisting Senior Editor in planning, maintaining a monthly Editorial calendar
- Regularly quality check the content as per our Editorial Guidelines
- Content performance tracking of core success metrics for the content

**Required Skills and Knowledge**
- Proven experience in delivering a mix of features, long-form and quick news content.
- Proven experience in successfully managing desk and freelancers.
- Experience in building editorial content calendars and themes.
- Excellent project and time management skills, ability to multi-task and ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Proven familiarity with Google Analytics and knowledge of SEO will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in AP style writing will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Strong work ethics and a motivated self-starter

**Qualifications**:
Degree/Diploma in Journalism/English/Mass Communications with 5+ years’ experience
