Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
- Ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions
- Coordinate operations, Supervise and train and oversee workers
- Assists Safety & Environmental Representatives in the development, implementation and enforcement of safety and environmental programs relative to terminal operations
- Oversee quality of the site, and managing the budget.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Superintendent to ensure proper coordination of responsibility for the project.
- .Responsible for erection of precast units as per drawing and implementation of safety norms as applicable to heavy lifting and erection operations.
- Inspect and ensure feasibility of lifting operations
- Work plan schedule and manage its implementation.
- Supervise the distribution of resources like materials, machinery or workforce.
- Manage and assist all the subcontractors and verify their invoices as per the company policies.
- Keep a track of reconciliations of materials being used against issued from stores leading to better traceability of assets within the site.
- Responsible for enforcing safety measures and also carrying out standard operating procedures as per L&T’s policy.
- Accountable for optimal Productivity of Assets utilization and Manpower
