The Scrum Master role primarily supports all pillars of the strategy. Scrum Master’s role is to provide servant leadership within a technology delivery POD, ensures the resource capacity management and remains as the Change leader / agent, that understands what approach is required to leading a team that delivers the right business value and or outcomes. A Scrum Master helps unblock impediments, continues to coach the team and ensures the right product value and outcome is delivered to our stakeholders.

Key priorities include:

- Adherence to and to be able to demonstrate the adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
- Implementation of the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer, or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules, and codes with which the business must comply.
- Adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also, and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.

**What you’ll do**:
**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities**

Key responsibilities include some of but not limited to:

- Managing the relationship and working with the product owner to align scheduling of activities to broader programme/epic/release requirements
- Facilitating and managing the team to self-organise; enabling continuous improvement of change and run activities, aligned to the product roadmap and customer expectations
- Responsible for the management of the coaching and leadership responsibilities that enable Agile delivery, including facilitating team meetings such as retrospectives, reviews and planning events
- Managing and shield the team from interruptions during sprints to ensure that Agile process doesn't impede team progress
- Continually reassessing the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
- Ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
- Addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.
- Navigating through a complex environment of factors like size, legacy systems, and tooling to achieve good Agile process implementation.
- Managing all your stakeholders and keeping them informed will be key to embedding the Agile process.
- Moving the group passed a legacy waterfall approach in many cases.

- Provides motivational leadership, sets team performance expectations and monitors progress
- Overall responsibility for supervising a department or a business unit/area team, or manages delivery for most complex assignments
