**Job Title**

**Associate, QA**

**PURPOSE**
- To be the gatepost for quality in the customer deployment function; owning governance for sign off across solution deployments for SHL
Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required for distribution and the market.**SCOPE OF ROLE**
- A quality assurance personnel is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet the established standards set by the company. Duties include maintaining strong overall quality control of products made by the company adhering to reliability, performance and customer expectation.
- Inspection of products is part of the job with the obligation to report and document findings.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Investigating causes of defects that occur during the testing phase
- Executes test cases under varying circumstances
- Documents and evaluates test results
- Detects, logs, and reports program bugs and glitches
- Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot errors
- Reviews test procedures and develops test scripts
- Partners with other teams to improve QA efforts
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conforming to regulations and international standards when it comes to testing and quality assurance
- Writing and reviewing testing plans
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
- Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**

**Professional**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
- Interest in QA and developing test scripts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent ability to plan and organise own work to meet client delivery pressures
- Strong and demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage projects and information from various sources
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office suite
