**JD - Admissions Counselor (Sales - Higher Education)**

**Department**: Sales and Business Development

**Operational skills / Role expectations**:

- Lead Generation, Nurturing and Conversion:

- Build and manage pipeline of leads that have inquired about our programs.
- Work with the prospective learners though the enrolment process by following up and building urgency.
- Ability to build a referral funnel from the existing students.
- Close sales, generate conversions to achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly quotas.
- Reporting and Feedback:

- Adhere to the inside sales process, data management processes and workflow.
- Record, track and report sales activities on timely basis.
- Initiate and implement plans to increase sales in coordination with reporting manager.
- Periodic reports to the reporting manager w.r.t activities done
- Provide feedback to leadership on call quality, observed trends, and insights from student conversations
- Display efficiency in gathering market and customer info, to enable product feedback and improve product positioning.

**Other Skills mandatory for the role**:

- Thorough understanding of the sales process and should have proven track record.
- MS Office Skills
- Excellent inter-personal, communication (both verbal and written) and listening skills
- Good cross-cultural awareness to be able to effectively communicate with customers from various geographies.
- Experience using a CRM
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a large pipeline with difference stages in the enrolment process that require follow up.
- Ability to hit metrics, targets without being micromanaged.

**Education**: Graduate / Post graduate from any institute, MBA can be an added advantage.

**Experience**: 2+ years of experience in Sales function, preferably selling Higher Education courses (Inbound Sales, One-on-one selling, Lead generation and conversion roles)
