1. Role Objective

To deliver high‑quality instruction in Computer Science fundamentals, programming, and applied computing to first‑ and second‑year medical students, ensuring they acquire essential digital literacy and problem‑solving skills.

2. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical lab sessions on topics including:

- Introduction to Computers & Operating Systems
- Programming Languages (e.g., C, Python, Java)
- Data Structures & Algorithms
- Database Management Systems
- Basics of Networking & Cybersecurity
- Design, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams.
- Maintain and update laboratory equipment and software; guide students in hands‑on projects.
- Mentor and provide academic support to students; hold regular office hours.
- Collaborate with the curriculum committee to keep course content current with industry standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and faculty development programs.
- Contribute to co‑curricular activities (coding clubs, hackathons).
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and accreditation requirements.

3. Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- NET/SET clearance or equivalent teaching eligibility certification.
- Strong foundation in programming, data structures, algorithms, and computer architecture.

4. Desirable Qualifications & Credentials
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Additional certification in emerging areas (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity).
- Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Canvas, etc.).

5. Experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, preferably in a medical or allied‑health institute.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage computer labs, including installation and maintenance of software/hardware.

6. Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Hindi proficiency a plus).
- Proficient in designing interactive, student‑centered learning activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
- Basic familiarity with educational research and pedagogy.
