**Job Description** Position Title**: Shift Leader

Overview:_**
- Position responsible for manufacturing as per production Plan by following safety standards with good-Inter department coordination for smooth operation of Production.
- Position responsible for producing STP batches & IMM as per sales order with good quality by following safety standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:_**
- Should be having knowledge on HMI and operating experience of operating Automated line.
- Inter department coordination for day to day operation and assist in production planning based on the sales orders and delivery schedules.
- Monthly RM/PM planning based on the production plan, advance intimation to planning & logistics to maintain sufficient stocks of RM/PM.
- Generation of production related documents from ERP/SAP.
- Execution and supervision of planned production by ensuring manufacturing of right product at first time.
- Weighed RM as per the standard batch card and getting optimum yield by consuming minimum man hours.
- Troubleshoot and adjust production parameters to maintain and sustain process quality.
- Machine and mold parameters set up as per production plan for carrying out the daily production activities smoothly.
- Coordination with maintenance department for equipment maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
- Control of inventory of RM, PM and Semi finished goods as per the defined norms.
- To achieve the planned production targets.
- Ensure that nonconforming product is not shipped to the next process and that all potential nonconforming product is identified and contained in dedicated area until the correction is done.
- Responsible to increase the production efficiency and optimizing the rejection %
- Calculating OEE of production process and identify for any deviations leading for optimization of cycle time for efficiency improvements.
- Should be familiar with use of 7QC tool for problem solving & find out the root cause for repeated abnormalities.
- Should have knowledge of PFMEA and other IATF core tools like SPC.
- Shift wise documentation and reporting of production.
- Following all the safety and health procedures laid down as well as disposal norms to protect environment as per the EHS guidelines.
- To strictly follow the systems and procedure as per IATF 16969, ISO 9001 / 14001/45001.
- Ensure effective housekeeping of shop floor and equipment’s.
- Deliver On job training to shop floor workmen & update the competencies accordingly.
- Batch & continuous process experience.
- Excellent man-power management and willing to work under targets per shift.
- Individual Capability to handle machine and manpower.

- To stop production in case of non-conformity of products or processes

**_ Qualifications/Experience:_**
- M.sc/Bachelor/ Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Bachelor/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/plastic processing and testing.
- 6-10 years in experience in Chemical manufacturing/Injection molding plant as supervisor. Experience of adhesive & sealant or acoustic baffle manufacturing plant will be preferred.

Functional & Behavioral Competencies:_**
- Experience of handling multi production and multi RMs,
- Exposure of equipment maintenance procedures.
- Exposure of ISO Systems and EHS
- Active Material Handling Equipment License.
- Good Team player and ability to co-ordinate with internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Outstanding Leadership & organizing skill to work out daily/weekly/monthly/frequency schedule work and track the same accordingly.
- Ability to plan and execute work as per desired quality, time and cost.
