Key Responsibilities:
1. **Seed Production Management**:

- Oversee the production of certified seeds, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with production teams to plan and execute seed production schedules.
- Monitor crop health and growth, addressing issues related to pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.

2. Seed Processing and Ǫuality Control:

- Manage seed processing operations, including cleaning, treating, and conditioning seeds.
- Ensure that processing practices comply with norms and standards set by the State Seed Certification Agency.
- Oversee the packaging and labeling of seeds to meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.

3. Marketing and Sales:

- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote seed products within the state.
- Identify and engage potential customers, including cooperatives, and agricultural organizations (More emphasis in LAMPs C PACs)
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate with the sales team to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.

4. Technical Support and Training:

- Provide technical support and training to farmers and production staff on best practices for seed production, processing, and handling.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to seed quality, production techniques, and sustainable agriculture practices.

5. Coordination and Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions, and partner organizations.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and field visits to represent the organization and its seed production and marketing activities.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and submit regular reports on seed production, processing, marketing, and quality control metrics.
- Maintain detailed records of seed production, processing, sales activities, and market feedback.

7. Compliance and Regulation:

- Stay updated on changes in seed production, processing, and marketing regulations and certification standards.
- Ensure all practices comply with national and state regulations and certification agency norms.

Qualifications:

- M.Sc. (ag.)/PhD Plant Breeding and Genetics / Seed Technology.
- In-depth knowledge of seed production techniques, processing, quality control, and certification processes.
- Experience with seed processing, packaging, and labeling in adherence to State Seed Certification Agency norms is essential.
- Experience working with agro-based organizations or cooperatives is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently among all the states where seed production program is going on.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
