Garment Designer

_**Required Skills and Qualifications**_:
1. Education: A degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field is preferred.

2. Experience: Previous experience working as a designer in the garment industry or having specific knowledge and skills related to working with denim fabric & tops and bottom both in the garment design industry.

3. Denim Fabric Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of denim fabric, including different weights, weaves, finishes, and stretch variations. Familiarity with various denim types, such as raw denim, selvedge denim, and distressed denim.

4. Designing with Denim: Proficiency in designing and creating different garment styles, fits, and details using denim fabric. Knowledge of denim-specific construction techniques, such as flat-felled seams, double-needle stitching, and bartacks.

5. Trend Awareness: Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in denim fashion, including washes, treatments, distressing techniques, and embellishments commonly used in the denim industry.

6. Fabric-Design Compatibility: Ability to select appropriate denim fabric for specific garment designs, considering factors such as drape, weight, stretch, and durability, to achieve the desired aesthetic and functionality.

7. Experimentation and Innovation: Willingness to explore and experiment with new techniques, finishes, and fabric manipulations to push the boundaries of denim design and create unique and original designs.

8. Collaboration with Suppliers: Work closely with denim suppliers and manufacturers to source high-quality denim fabrics, collaborate on fabric development, and ensure production feasibility.

9. Sample Development and Fit: Experience in developing denim samples, conducting fit sessions, and making necessary adjustments to achieve the desired fit and silhouette.

10. Wash and Finishing Effects: Knowledge of denim wash processes, including enzyme washes, stone washes, sandblasting, and distressing techniques, to achieve desired aesthetic effects.

11. Portfolio Highlighting Denim Designs: A portfolio showcasing a range of denim-focused design projects, highlighting expertise in working with denim fabric and the ability to create diverse and innovative denim garments.

12. Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD), sketching, and illustration techniques.

13. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present design concepts.

14. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

15. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing design requirements, market demands, and production constraints.

16. Passion for Fashion: A genuine passion for fashion, trends, and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- **Responsibilities**_:
1. **Concept Development**: Conduct extensive research on fashion trends, customer preferences, and market demands to develop original and captivating design concepts for garments and apparel.

2. **Design Creation**: Utilize design software, hand-drawing techniques, and other tools to translate your concepts into detailed sketches, illustrations, or digital renderings. Create design prototypes for approval and modification as needed.

3. **Material and Color Selection**: Collaborate with the team to select appropriate fabrics, trims, and color palettes that align with the design vision and target market.

4. **Technical Specifications**: Create detailed technical specifications, including measurements, construction details, and sewing instructions, to guide the production team during the manufacturing process.

5. **Collaboration and Communication**: Work closely with merchandisers, product developers, and manufacturers to ensure the smooth execution of designs, address any production-related challenges, and maintain effective communication throughout the design-to-production process.

6. **Trend Analysis**: Continuously monitor and analyse fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market developments to stay up-to-date with industry changes and incorporate relevant elements into your designs.

7. **Quality Control**: Conduct regular quality control inspections of garment samples and provide feedback to ensure that the final products meet design specifications and maintain high-quality standards.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
