**About this role**

ThreatCo is BT’s programme to build a comprehensive security service offering based on our managed services portfolio. To meet ThreatCo requirements a flexible platform will be developed to capture all relevant security data about each customer and collate it into a constantly updated components to provide the maximum amount of security context for each of the key areas.

The role will be responsible and accountable for providing technical strategy and execution for all forms of QA functions (Unit Test, System Test, Integration Test, Regression Test, Security Test, Usability Test etc) within ThreadCo.

The role will be pivotal and pioneer to accept ‘automation first strategy around entire QA function within ThreadCo. Automation first strategy is key to avoid cost probhitive QA team setup to support the volumes on ThreadCo stack

As a QA Lead in ThreatCo, you will be responsible to define and execute the technical strategy to adopt the test tooling to implement ‘automation first’ strategy. The scope of work would cover both functional and non functional testing (i.e. performance, usability, security, penetration testing). Person in the role is expected to be involved right form the elaboration stage of a business EPIC/feature and provide the feedback to the bussines on the testing impacts. Also help various teams in the tribe by giving them the right feedback at right time to help improve the overall quality of ThreadCo. The role will be working very closely with the QA Key Lead in terms of planning and managing the test capacity for the tribe.

This role is critical to the platform model of ThreadCo by defining and managing the overall quality validation practice for ThreadCo; also executing the same..

**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Responsible for signing-up quality validations and approving the release from quality perspective
- Responsible to come out with QA strategy for the scope defined for PI. This includes Integration strategy, validation strategy, Data, Tools, required automation, functional and non-functional along with required environment strategy.
- Responsible for capacity calculation (Number of QA personnel required for PI and distribution of QA people across Squads). These estimate and budget are to be approved along with value stream and Tribe leads.
- Responsible for placing right SDETs to the squads as per capacity plan agreed
- Responsible for required Tools availability and Data needs for the Squad test and PI execution
- Responsible for QA SDETs alignment to the PI objectives and ensure necessary DODs are in place for features as per QA strategy validations for the releases.
- Responsible in monitoring SDETs quality validations in Iterations.
- Responsible for review and reporting of SDETs quality validations at squad level and at Tribe level
- Work as SPOC for the Tribe for any quality related delivery and escalations
- Responsible for periodic integrated build validation across squads and E2E testing of workflow
- Responsible for In Sprint Automation and execution
- Responsible for CT execution and required tools-chain integration for quality validations
- Responsible for overall sign-up quality validations for release.
- Practitioner across various tools which would support automation of various phases of the test life like
- Test planning
- Test data creation
- Direct Interface/System Integration testing

**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- **Functional Exposure**:It will be desirable if you have prior exposure to Security domain- Security Domain testing experience in related to SIEM
- Breach attack simulation tooling
- Big data technologies
- **Be Agile**:You use your knowledge of best practice to collaborate with peers across the business in different ways. You should be an expert devOps Engineer in your area of development expertise.
- **Give Specialised Advice**:You offer advice and recommendations based on your expertise both proactively and on request.
