**OB TITLE**:Physical Education Teacher

**REPORTING TO**: Academic Director

**COLLABORATES WITH**: Other teachers, Program Director, Medical staff

**PURPOSE**Miri Piri Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**- Deliver high-quality instruction in **IGCSE Physical Education**, ensuring students meet curriculum standards. - Create a **positive and engaging PE environment**, encouraging participation from all students. - Teach and coach a variety of sports, including **soccer, basketball, volleyball, cricket, gatka, and kabaddi**. - Support and guide students in developing fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. - Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback. - Maintain an inclusive approach, ensuring all students, regardless of skill level, feel supported and motivated. - Incorporate fitness and wellness principles into PE classes, fostering lifelong healthy habits. - Coordinate school sports activities, tournaments, and inter-school competitions. - Collaborate with academic and residential staff to integrate physical education into the school’s holistic development approach. - **Support yoga classes** as needed, ensuring alignment with the school’s physical and spiritual education philosophy. - Maintain and ensure the proper use of sports equipment and facilities. - Participate in school-wide events, trips, and extracurricular activities that align with the school’s mission.

**QUALIFICATIONS**- Bachelor’s degree in **Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field**. - Experience teaching **IGCSE Physical Education** or a similar curriculum (preferred). - Prior experience coaching **soccer, basketball, volleyball, cricket, gatka, or kabaddi** (preferred). - Strong communication and leadership skills to motivate and engage students. - Ability to create an **inclusive and positive PE experience** for students of varying skill levels. - Willingness to **support yoga classes** and integrate wellness into PE instruction. - Passion for holistic education, aligning with **Miri Piri Academy’s values** of academic excellence, physical strength, and spiritual development. - Dedication to continuous professional growth and a commitment to student well-being.
