**Job Summary**:
The Video Editing Specialist is involved in all aspects of the video production process, including planning, creating, processing, uploading, editing, and managing video for a wide variety of distribution channels. They may create two-minute advertisements, 30-minute instructional videos, engaging promotional videos, commercials, highlight videos, or even product demos.

Video Specialists has a background in shooting video, and experience with a camera, using recording equipment, managing the lighting for a shoot, and understand how to set up a video shoot. Ultimately, the goal of a Video Editing Specialist is to create video content that can help a company promote or sell its brand, product, and/or services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and edit motion graphic videos, including screen capture, explainer videos and illustration highlights that are engaging
- Manipulating and editing various forms of footage, stills, and motion graphics in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Deliver creative excellence on all video and motion projects
- Maintain Brand aesthetics on all video projects
- Design and produce motion graphics and animations
- Help create video concepts and story boards for clients, the business, marketing, and other video communications
- Work both independently and collaboratively with video team to design motion graphics that transform complicated concepts into clear, easy to understand stories and visuals
- Continuously discover and implement new animation, editing techniques and industry’s best practices
- Manage time and projects to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Meet with clients and teams to fully understand production needs and specifications
- Create video products available in a variety of types and formats including streaming media files
- Coordinate pre-production and production planning activities and communicate technical information in non-technical terms

**Qualifications**:

- Proven working experience on video productions teams and working in video editing and other video driven software/tools
- Ability to use video production/editing software
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity, etc.
- Creative thinking, interviewing abilities and storytelling skills
- Ability to travel nationally and some internationally at times
