**Job Description of Cashier**

Key Responsibilities:

- **Processing Payments**:
Handling cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment for school-related services.
- **Record Keeping**:
Maintaining accurate records of all cash books of disbursements and collections and cash advances transactions, preparing reports, and reconciling daily balances.
- **Customer Service**:
Addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive experience for students, parents, and staff.
- **Confidentiality**:
Handling sensitive student information with discretion and maintaining the security of student accounts.
- **Other Duties**:
Assisting with tasks like sending notifications about pending fee, Students enrolment report and status, and other account duties as assigned.
- **Collecting payments**: for tuition, fees, and other school-related expenses.
- **Issuing receipts**: All payments received.
- **Balancing cash registers**: and preparing daily deposits.
- **Preparing monthly or quarterly reports**: on collections and deposits.
- **Answering phones**: and greeting visitors (depending on the school).

Skills & Qualifications:

- **Strong math skills**: Accuracy in handling cash and processing transactions is essential.
- **Excellent customer service skills**: Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with students, parents, and staff.
- **Organizational skills**: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
- **Communication skills**: Clear and effective communication when answering questions and resolving issues.
- **Attention to detail**: Accuracy in recording transactions and handling cash.
- **Proficiency with cash registers and POS systems**: Ability to operate the necessary equipment.
- **Understanding of school policies and procedures**: Familiarity with school-specific regulations related to payments and student information
