**Job Summary**:
The service staff is responsible for ensuring a positive dining or drinking experience for customers by providing attentive and efficient service. They play a crucial role in maintaining the overall atmosphere and reputation of the establishment.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Greeting and Seating Customers:
- Warmly welcome guests as they arrive.
- Escort customers to their tables and assist with seating arrangements.
- Provide menus and inform customers of daily specials or promotions.
- Taking Orders:
- Listen attentively to customers' food and beverage preferences.
- Offer recommendations and describe menu items accurately.
- Record orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff promptly.
- Serving Food and Beverages:
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of orders to customers' tables.
- Handle food and beverages with care, ensuring presentation is visually appealing.
- Check back with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Handling Payments:
- Present bills to customers and process payments accurately.
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment securely.
- Thank customers for their patronage and invite them to return.
- Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, including dining tables, countertops, and serving stations.
- Monitor restroom cleanliness and alert appropriate staff if maintenance is needed.
- Providing Customer Assistance:
- Anticipate and respond to customers' needs promptly and courteously.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Offer assistance with menu selections, dietary restrictions, or accommodations as needed.
- Collaborating with Team Members:
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members.
- Coordinate order timing to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Assist colleagues during busy periods or as needed to maintain high service standards.
- Upholding Health and Safety Standards:
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing food and beverages.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards and ensure guest safety.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash.
- Knowledge of food and beverage items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹27,554.04 per month
