We operate a large-scale distributed system and we are about to hit File New... and build the next version from scratch. We are looking for strong and passionate engineers to join our Ohana (family) and fuel our evolution. You’ll get an opportunity to design and implement:

- Salesforce object model for a new service built on top of the Hyperforce platform
- Reimagine distributed job management system
- Priority queues with strict tenant isolation and SLA
- Clean public API and SDK
- URL shortening service
- Telemetry collection and aggregation pipelines
- Fine-tune compute and storage allocation based on deep service insights
- Integrate with other new services built by sister teams
- Have good analytical skills and learning agility
- Passion for distributed systems and cloud technology
- Ability to navigate ambiguity
- Have the capacity to drill through software layers
- Provide critical thinking and technical innovation
- Write clean code with attention to reliability, performance, and security
- Establish coding standards and integrate them with the team
- Partner with leadership and architects to define and scope engineering plans
- Operate the service as an owner through telemetry, monitoring, and analytics
- Release high-quality features on time, meeting functional, performance, scalability, and compliance requirements

**Basic requirements**:

- BS or MS in computer science or related degree
- Good written and oral communication skills
- 5+ years of industry experience designing, developing, and shipping high-quality scalable software or services
- Strong design, implementation, and testing skills
- Development experience in C#/.NET, Golang, Java, or Python, Javascript/ReactJS
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with building services on top of relational and non-relational stores like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB
- Understanding of network technologies - TCP/IP, DNS, routing, proxy, etc.

**Great to have**:

- Experience with cloud technologies
- Knowledge of open source technology
- Native (C++) Windows or Linux development experience
- Security concepts (authentication, encryption, certificates, OAuth/SAML tokens, and claims)
