**Key responsibility areas**:
A faculty member is expected to undertake responsibilities in:

- Curricular development
- Teaching and managing courses
- Assessing learning units and mentoring /evaluating students and/ or student projects
- Facilitate industry engagements through collaborative projects, Jury assessments, seminars, events and guest lectures
- Conduct research, secure grants in areas of personal domain as well as those in the School’s purview

**Experience required**:

- He/she is expected to be a team player who can seamlessly integrate in the Design centric courses along with Design expertise faculty.
- Though may be a specialised in a few technologies, but has the ability to learn and adapt to newer technology.
- Practical knowledge of the usage of PLC/ NodeMCU along with coding and sensor usage Actuators
- Knowledge the technology of Internet of things
- Tinkering and making
- Knowledge the technology of AR and VR, practical experience is preferable Knowledge of Emerging technologies

**Software skills**:
HTML, CSS, JQUERY Unity, P5. Python, 3D CAD, Laser, CAM

**Professor**:
Qualification & Experience:

- Ph.D. in Design with First Class M. Des / M. Tech / M. Arch or equivalent with 10 years of Teaching experience of which 3 years as Associate Professor OR
- M. Des or equivalent with 18 years of with min 10 years Teaching Experience

**Associate Professor**:
Qualification & Experience:

- Ph.D. in Design with First Class M. Des / M. Tech / M. Arch or equivalent with 6 years as full time Assistant Professor experience OR
- M. Des or equivalent with min 15 years of Experience with min 8 years of Teaching Experience

**Assistant Professor**:
Qualification & Experience:

- Ph.D. in Design or equivalent with 0-2 years as fulltime / part time faculty OR
- First Class M. Des or equivalent with 6 years of experience with min 3 years of teaching OR
- First Class B. Des or equivalent with 10 years of experience with min 5 years of teaching

In 1981, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) established Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) to meet the growing demand for management education.
