Job Description: AutoCAD/Surveyor

Position Overview:
The AutoCAD/Surveyor is responsible for performing a range of surveying and drafting activities using AutoCAD software. This role combines fieldwork and office-based tasks to support engineering and construction projects. The AutoCAD/Surveyor plays a crucial role in creating accurate and detailed survey drawings, assisting in project planning, and ensuring that survey data is properly collected and analyzed.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct surveys: Perform field surveys using various surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners. Collect accurate measurements, mark reference points, and document relevant details.

2. Draft survey drawings: Utilize AutoCAD software to create precise and detailed survey drawings, including topographic maps, boundary surveys, and construction layouts. Ensure compliance with project specifications, legal requirements, and industry standards.

3. Data analysis: Analyze survey data, including measurements, calculations, and other information obtained during field surveys. Identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies, and take corrective actions as needed.

4. Coordinate with project teams: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and incorporate survey data into the design and construction processes. Provide technical expertise and guidance on survey-related matters.

5. Documentation and reporting: Prepare accurate reports, records, and documentation related to surveys, including field notes, data sheets, and survey reports. Maintain organized files and databases to ensure easy retrieval and reference.

6. Quality control: Conduct quality control checks on survey data, drawings, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications. Verify that surveys are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

7. Equipment maintenance: Maintain surveying equipment, ensuring that it is properly calibrated, serviced, and in good working condition. Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.

8. Safety and compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal and team safety during fieldwork. Adhere to legal and ethical standards, including property rights, confidentiality, and privacy regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in land surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD software for surveying and drafting tasks.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, and data collection methods.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and surveying standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
