**Role Title**

The Enphase Cloud team is looking for a hands-on Database Lead/Architect to lead the SQL and NoSQL database team. The existing platform supports millions of homeowners and installers.

As Database Lead/Architect, you will build next-generation database platform to support the future growth. You will mentor, motivate, and grow a high-performing team of talented DBAs and foster a culture of continuous improvement and long-term growth.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and develop performance and reliability with industry-standard uptime.

**You are expected to**:

- Help Enphase succeed by providing 24/7 support for Database augmenting our US team.
- Experience in re-architecting existing database to improve performance.
- Experience in optimising existing Database architecture for high load production environment.
- Experience in AWS Databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Redis, Kinesis, Document DB)
- Maintain multiple environments which includes automation to bring up a new environment on demand.
- On call support to ensure database high up-time.
- Responsible for providing day-to-day administration support and maintenance.
- Understating of NoSQL database MongoDB, Document DB and Cassandra will be a plus.
- Database security and performance enhancement to serve production load.
- Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of Database & System health
- Build automation and robust monitoring and auto recovery solution.
- Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
- Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
- Implement industry’s best practice to improve performance and quality.

**Minimum Qualifications & Skillsets**:

- BE/BTech with CSE or related discipline with premier engineering college
- 12+ years of core experience in databases administration.
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work across various teams and demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
- Previous release and/or project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)
- Previous experience in high volume environments will be required.
- Deep understanding of cluster management areas, such as adding/bootstrapping/removing nodes, consistency tuning, replication, and multi-DC configuration;
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, management, capacity planning and compaction strategy
- Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- Previous SQL Server and/or Oracle database administration experience is a definite plus
- Must be versatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues
