Housekeeping Attendant

**Purpose**

Entry position in the Housekeeping Department

**Special Requirements**
- Has 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in hotels or resorts
- Physical mobility and stamina required to carry out some heavy duties
- Ability to work independently and professional attitude is required
- Should follow clear instructions from superiors and a detail oriented person
- Secondary school Diploma is preferred

**Major Responsibilities**
- General_

1. Is directly responsible for the day to day **key processes** in his/her area of work

2. **Assists **his/her supervisor in executing the day to day **operational requirements**

3. Attends all scheduled training sessions

4. Actively offers operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related **feedback to management**

5. Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with **guests and internal customers**

6. Adheres to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards

7. Is seen as working hands-on, assists colleagues in crunch times; Walks the talk

8. Actively participates in briefings and meetings

9. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes a safe working environment

10. Performs any additional duties as assigned
- Departmental_

1. Enters and prepares the room for cleaning

2. Clearly understands the task sheet and uses guest names during interaction

3. Works in an organized manner and prioritize the work place with making the rooms as per the sequence and expected time of arrival

4. Maintains good relations with all departments and clarify all queries related to his work with supervisors before executing any new task

5. Makes bed and dusts the room and furniture

6. Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies

7. Cleans the bathroom and closet

8. Vacuums and racks the carpet

9. Follow up with Engineering department for all maintenance issues and brief supervisor about the same

10. Checks and secures the rooms

11. Replenish amenities according to the operational standards

12. Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards

13. Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests

14. Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required

15. Cleans guest bathroom/bed rooM/Floor corridor

16. Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of his work area.

17. Responsible for the Hotel property in the work area

18. Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him

19. Authorise to enter in guestrooms for cleaning and providing turndown services as per requirement

20. Responsible for following the standard operating procedures

21. Responsible for achieving and exceeding the guest satisfaction score

22. Handles unexpected situations and emergencies in a composed and intelligent manner and in accordance with hotel policies and procedures

23. Ensures the work area is ready for service; assists in supplies requisitions according to established procedures

**Salary**: ₹9,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month

- Chikmagalur, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Housekeeping: 1 year (preferred)
