**Job Title**: Executive Store Assistant (PVR Cinema)
**Department**: Operations / Retail
**Reports To**: Store Manager / Assistant Manager
**Job Purpose**:
The **Executive Store Assistant** at PVR Cinema is responsible for providing outstanding customer service in the cinema’s retail and concession areas, ensuring that customers enjoy a seamless experience while purchasing tickets, snacks, beverages, and other items. The role includes inventory management, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting the store's operational efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Customer Service & Sales**:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting food, beverages, and retail products (e.g., merchandise, souvenirs).
- Provide recommendations on snacks, drinks, and cinema-related products to enhance the customer experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for ticket sales, concession transactions, and membership programs.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, or concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by offering personalized service and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of food, beverages, and retail products to ensure items are available for sale.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and report stock discrepancies to the Store Manager.
- Support stock rotation and shelf organization, ensuring that expired or damaged items are removed promptly.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and storing products safely.
- **Store Operations & Cleanliness**:
- Ensure that the retail and concession areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling, storage, and cleanliness.
- Maintain proper stock displays, ensuring items are well-arranged and visible to customers.
- Regularly clean and sanitize POS terminals, counters, and other high-touch areas.
- **Cash Handling & POS Management**:
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and digital payments accurately.
- Reconcile cash registers at the end of each shift and prepare sales reports.
- Ensure that all transactions are completed accurately and customers receive proper receipts.
- Manage cash floats, including providing change and handling refunds as needed.
- **Promotions & Marketing**:
- Promote in-store offers, discounts, or special promotions to customers.
- Assist with the display of promotional materials and advertisements within the store.
- Encourage customers to sign up for loyalty programs or special events hosted by the cinema.
- **Team Collaboration & Support**:
- Work closely with the Store Manager and team to meet operational targets, including sales goals and customer service metrics.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members, ensuring they are familiar with store policies, products, and customer service standards.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas to improve store performance and customer satisfaction.
- **Event Support**:
- Assist during special screenings, premieres, or events by setting up the retail space, preparing for large customer traffic, and assisting customers in a timely manner.
- Ensure smooth coordination with other departments (e.g., ticketing, security, and concessions) during high-traffic times like new movie releases and weekends.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:
- Adhere to all hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations as per PVR Cinema’s guidelines.
- Ensure that the retail area and all associated equipment are safe and functional.
- Report any hazards or safety issues to the Store Manager for immediate resolution.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or diploma in Hospitality, Retail Management, or Business Administration is a plus.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in retail, customer service, or the food and beverage industry is preferred.
- **Skills**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on creating a positive experience for cinema-goers.
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak times.
