Chetput Chennai Tamil Nadu, India Karma Corps Full time

The evening consists of teaching two batches: an afternoon batch from 4-6pm, and an evening batch from 6-8pm. Each batch consists of only 8-13 children. In each of the 2-hour sessions, the teacher is expected to conduct class for one hour, and then supervise the children in the computer lab for the second hour.

Teachers must possess the following experience and characteristics:

- Highly fluent in English (mandatory)
- Creative and engaging
- Lively presentation skills
- Explains tough concepts in ways that are easy to understand
- Great demeanor with children
- Capable of using the Internet to find educational videos, worksheets and resources
- Dependable
- Punctual
- Previous teaching experience desirable

Please note: these children have all been admitted to prestigious schools under the Right to Education Act's 25% quota, and our role as an organization is to ensure they can maintain rigorous academic standards. We do not charge families for our education center. As such, teachers are not just providing education but also a social service to the community.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
