Key responsibilities of a Cafe Chef:
- **Menu Development**:Create and maintain a cafe menu with a variety of appealing dishes, considering seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and market trends.
- **Food Preparation**:Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and ensuring proper presentation.
- **Kitchen Management**:Manage kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and maintain a smooth workflow during peak service periods.
- **Ingredient Sourcing**:Source fresh, high-quality ingredients from local vendors, ensuring food quality and cost-effectiveness.
- **Food Safety**:Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control.
- **Staff Training**:Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, recipe execution, and food safety procedures.
- **Inventory Control**:Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies and minimizing food waste.
- **Cost Control**:Work within budget constraints, optimizing ingredient usage to maintain profitability
