Fashion Designer

**Responsibilities**:
**Creative Conceptualization**:
Generate innovative and trend-setting design concepts aligned with the brand's vision and target market.

Research fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands to inform design decisions.

**Design Development**:
Translate conceptual ideas into sketches, technical drawings, and digital renderings using design software.

Develop detailed specifications, including materials, colors, patterns, and construction techniques.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product development, merchandising, and production to ensure designs meet technical feasibility and cost targets.

**Material Selection and Sourcing**:
Source and evaluate materials, trims, and embellishments from suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Maintain relationships with vendors and stay updated on emerging materials and production techniques.

**Prototype Creation and Testing**:
Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, working closely with pattern makers and sample sewers.

Conduct fittings and garment assessments to ensure fit, functionality, and quality standards are met.

**Trend Forecasting and Analysis**:
Monitor global fashion trends, runway shows, and industry publications to anticipate future trends and consumer preferences.

Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.

**Production Support**:
Liaise with manufacturing teams to communicate design specifications, resolve production issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Review and approve pre-production samples and production batches to maintain design integrity.

**Brand Representation**:
Present design concepts, collections, and prototypes to internal stakeholders and external partners, including buyers and retailers.

Participate in marketing initiatives, photo shoots, and fashion shows to promote brand visibility and product awareness.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.

Proven experience as a Fashion Designer in the manufacturing industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing design expertise and creativity.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw and CAD programs.

Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and têxtile technology.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to adapt to changing trends, priorities, and project timelines.

Understanding of production processes, cost factors, and supply chain dynamics.

Passion for fashion, creativity, and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Experience / exposure in hand embroidery is must.

Experience - 7 to 8 years

CTC - Up to 8.5 LPA

Work Location - Thirumazhisai (Chennai)

Pay: Up to ₹850,000.00 per year
