- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to determine diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide medical care and treatment to patients across various medical conditions, ensuring adherence to evidence-based medicine guidelines and best practices.
- Monitor and manage the ongoing care of patients, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing medical procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, consult on complex cases, and ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing urgent medical interventions, resuscitation efforts, and stabilization of patients in critical condition.
- Document patient medical histories, physical findings, diagnostic results, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and comprehensively in medical records and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing explanations of medical conditions, treatment options, and prognosis in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and medical staff meetings to discuss patient cases, review treatment plans, and collaborate on patient care initiatives.
