Production Machine Operator

**Job Purpose**:
To operate and maintain designated machines and processes to prescribed SOP’s, methods and standards in order to achieve required output, quality and performance.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Authorized Main Duties**:
**1.** **Machine and Line preparation for production**
- Ensure all parts are available & clean before production starts. Ensure machine and production lines are set up and assembled correctly and ready for production. Assess machine integrity in terms of operation and maintenance. Monitor gauges, sounds and operation to enable downtime reduction and damage limitation. Report any deviations to line leader & supervisors and enable rapid escalation if issues are not being addressed.

**2.** **In-process work flow**
- Complete all required process & machine checks. Record data on relevant documentation. Identify problems as they arise, informing supervisor of deviations, or when unfamiliar with situations.

**3.** **Quality Management and Housekeeping**
- Ensure all in-process quality checks are done as instructed by Line leader. Ensure a neat and hygienic work environment. Ensure that all CCP’s are monitored and controlled and all equipment accessories not in use are stored appropriately.

**4.** **Health and Safety**
- Control and use of all processes, materials and equipment in a way that health and safety procedures are complied with. Request additional training if unfamiliar situations arise.

**5.** **People Management**
- Ensure that start-up sheets have been completed before beginning machine or process. Get verification from Line Leader and escalate if not satisfied. Make sure essential personnel are on line before starting
- Perform any other assignments as required by the Line Leader.

- Zero contaminants from machine or process
- 100% hygiene compliance from designated machine or process
- Clean and well-maintained PPE used at all times
- Monitor process control steps with QA technicians
- **PRODUCTIVITY**:_
- Zero lost time safety incidents from designated machine or process
- Assure DT reduced to 5% of available time on designated machine or process
- Manage and sustain 100% data accuracy
- Monitor output to assure adherence to targets
- **ENVIRONMENTAL**:_
- Ensure waste is disposed of as per streaming requirements
- **MAINTENANCE**:_
- Develop & sustain positive relations with maintenance technicians
- Report all downtime events immediately & accurately to line Leaders
- Deliver preventative maintenance solutions where appropriate
- Challenge maintenance team if PM is not to agreed schedule & escalate issue
- Be able to change tooling & basic machine parts as necessary

**Person Specifications**:
**Education**:

- Minimum secondary education
- Food safety certification

**Language**:

- Proficient in English
- Arabic (Added Value), Asian languages (e.g. Hindi)

**Experience**:

- 2 years of food manufacturing (preferably meat, poultry, fish) experience
- Meat process and machine experience and certified training
- Desirable machine type experience: Forming, breading, cooking, filling, mixing, tumbling, packing
