Role Summary

WSP is seeking an engineer for the role of Associate Wet utilities, where he will produce engineering design solutions, models, reports and obtain authority approvals for single and multi-disciplinary design projects.

Key Competencies / Skills:
Mandatory skills
- The Associate will have responsibility for the delivery to engineering solutions and deliverables to our clients. He will be client facing and can represent the company on a regular basis in web-meetings and presentations.
- To produce well written reports to support designs.
- To deliver design packages/projects on time and to budget.
- To have good relationships with our clients and secure repeat work.
- Interact and co-ordinate with WSP’s wider Transportation and Infrastructure team
- To have good knowledge of the requirements of Local Authorities in the Middle East region including but not limited to RTA, DEWA, DM, DOT, ADWEA, ADM, SWS, NWC, Jeddah Municipality, and other jurisdiction Authorities in the region.
- Liaising with project managers and play a key role in both managing technical input to our projects and ensuring that deliverables are appropriate and fit-for-purpose.
- Ensuring client satisfaction and providing support in the production of outputs, as required. This is including Supervising ensuring the competence, quality and timely submission of detailed engineering deliverables and coordinate inputs from other areas across the business both in India and the ME.
- Beside the technical capabilities, this role has a key responsibility for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff.
- Inclusively lead people, clearly articulating the vision, defining responsibilities, delegating effectively and providing constructive feedback.
- Line Manager - PPP, promotion, training & mentoring; andStaff/Team Development - support, training, nurturing.

**Qualifications**:

- Educated to Bachelor / Master’s degree level in a Water related discipline with minimum 15 years post graduate experience
- Chartered Member of associated Professional body membership
- A hard-working self-starter with initiative and ability to work within a team environment
- Understand own strengths and impact, adapting behaviour according to different situations and individuals
- Excellent communication, internal client handling, interpersonal skills and listening skills with the ability to influence and interact with people
- Comfortable leading internal engineering discussions and the experience and ability to understand, evaluate and explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical professionalsModelling of gravity and pressure networks using Bently and Infoworks softwares.
- Experienced with BIM based design and delivery using Civil 3D and Infrawizaed program.
- Knowledge of Hydrology design and modelling is a plus
