Purchase Executive

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented **Purchase Executive** with experience in the **sheet metal industry** to manage procurement activities related to raw materials, components, tools, and consumables. The role requires effective vendor management, negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Procure raw materials such as **CRCA, HR, SS sheets, coils, pipes, fasteners, welding rods, and fabrication accessories**.
- Identify and develop reliable vendors for sheet metal components, laser cutting, CNC bending, and fabrication services.
- Evaluate supplier performance on price, quality, lead time, and service.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs), follow up on deliveries, and coordinate with the store and production teams for smooth material flow.
- Negotiate rates and delivery schedules to ensure cost efficiency and timely procurement.
- Maintain and monitor minimum stock levels for critical sheet metal items and consumables.
- Ensure quality compliance in coordination with the Quality Control team.
- Assist in developing cost-reduction strategies through alternate sourcing and vendor development.
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain updated records of material prices and supplier contracts.
- Coordinate with logistics and store teams for goods receipt, inspection, and invoice processing.

**Key Skills & Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of **sheet metal materials, grades, and manufacturing processes**.
- Good understanding of **machinery parts, laser cutting, fabrication, welding, powder coating, etc.**:

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, or industry-specific platforms).
- Ability to handle multiple vendors and fast-paced production environments.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in **Mechanical Engineering**, **Production**, or **Supply Chain Management**.
- 2-5 years of procurement experience in the **sheet metal / fabrication industry**
