**Job Synopsis**:
As a DB Architect you need to build and maintain a company’s database by identifying structural and installation solutions & work with database administrators, analysts to secure easy access to company data. Duties include creating database solutions, evaluating requirements, and preparing design reports.

**Technical Requirements**:
**(MySql) AND (Postgresql) and (Oracle) and (Architecture) and (Database)**
- Lead and participate in database architecture activities including designing highly complex logical and physical databases
- Provide technical leadership and recommendation on the future direction of database technology
- Design, build and maintain the logical and physical data models to support the business requirements in a dynamic, expanding business environment.
- Maintain documentation of data models, including relationships, constraints, and metadata.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes in current systems based on the architectural review.
- Strive for simplicity in the DB design and eliminate unnecessary technical complexity.
- Wherever possible, eliminate DB stored procedures.
- Coach Application Development teams to create a good data access layer within their code.
- Ensure all DB designs provide security and full separation of data between tenants.
- Provides design expertise for complex database problems
- Perform proactive and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting of issues
- Own performance tuning activities including partitioning strategies, indexing strategies, and SQL optimization
- Own the DB design and participate in the code review process of queries and procedures.
- Provide additional support and direction for Developers to troubleshoot complex issues and performance issues.
- Provide thought leadership to database teams during platform migrations and future designs
- Provide support for common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Continually provide mentorship, advice, and training to other Developers.
- Develop tools to reduce manual tasks and eliminate human mistakes within the Development and Deployment processes.
- Be an advocate of change, and ensure our technology stays current and relevant.
