**Job Title**: Safety Officer - Lubricant Industry
**Location**: Daman
**Department**: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
**Reports to**: HSE Manager / Plant Head
**Job Purpose**:
To ensure a safe working environment in the lubricant manufacturing facility by implementing, monitoring, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and compliance with statutory regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and statutory compliance in line with **Factories Act**, **OSHA**, and local safety norms.
- Conduct **risk assessments** and identify potential hazards in blending, filling, and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with **ISO 45001** (Occupational Health & Safety) and **ISO 14001** (Environmental Management).
- Conduct **fire drills**, safety training, and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Inspect machinery, storage tanks, and pipelines for safety compliance.
- Supervise the correct use of **PPE** and safety equipment.
- Maintain safety records, accident reports, and incident investigation documentation.
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure safe work practices.
- Oversee **waste oil disposal** and spill control procedures.
- Liaise with statutory bodies during inspections and audits.
**Skills & Competencies**:
- Strong knowledge of HSE laws and industrial safety standards.
- Familiarity with **hazardous material handling (MSDS)**.
- Good leadership and communication skills for training and enforcement.
- Ability to handle emergencies and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for accident investigation.
**Qualifications & Certifications**:
- Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety or Fire & Safety from a recognized institute.
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred.
- First Aid & CPR training.
- ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 auditor certification (advantage).
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
