- Job Role**Primary Role responsibilities:
- The incumbent would be responsible for addressing all legal issues and providing legal support for Labour / criminal / civil matters filed by or against the Bank, attend to Court Cases, liaise with Advocates, solicitors, Law Firms, and consultants, provide support to other business functions in the investigation and during the trial of the cases.
- Legal Support would involve
- Attending to litigation, liaison with advocates and strategizing litigation.
- Providing guidance on changes in the statutes, and matters of business importance and expediency and ensuring compliance
- Providing sound legal advise on a variety of issues to internal clients and the provision of day-to-day advice on complex legal and legal policy issues.
- Guiding on and conducting resolution of disputes and litigations
- Maintenance of MIS, quarterly reports, and database of legal cases.

**Secondary Role responsibility**
- Depending on the need of the internal department any additionally role & responsibilities can be added &/or enhanced

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Skills/Knowledge prerequisites
- Knowledge of civil and criminal and labour laws, information technology laws, corporate laws, besides general commercial laws including Contract Act, Stamp Act, Consumer Protection Act etc.
- Must be a Law Graduate with strong record from a reputed law school with overall 3 - 5 years’ experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong negotiation skills.
- Able to travel to locations across the country to attend to matters assigned.
- Good commercial sense and business acumen - able to analyze and consider issues from the standpoint of a business person as well as that of a lawyer. Must be able to evaluate and prioritize competing issues, and assess risks, not just spot potential legal problems.
- An articulate, clear-thinking self-starter, who is also a team player.
- Generally a person of good common sense, possess an eye for detail, have analytical ability and logical thinking
- Experience in the financial services industry would be an advantage.
- Managing competing tasks that demand immediate attention - Must be able to prioritize and work effectively on the most important matters.
