Infrastructure Architect

Job Description

Background information:
Solution Architecture Section (CPS) is looking for an infrastructure architect to help the current team to support presales activities, architect and deliver new projects. The new consultant will be integrated in a multidisciplinary group with architects and business analysts, working closely with business relationship managers and service owners’ teams, to deliver services to UNICC clients.

Required Profile:
Scope of Work / Duties of Consultant:
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Work in presales activities: gather client requirements, qualify and classify opportunities, share technical requirements with service owners, build technical solutions, build and maintain templates for standard proposals, provide support in sales prospect activities
- Provide consulting services, infrastructure assessments, migrations’ support, and architectural advice to UNICC clients
- Interact with project leads and technical stakeholders in building and deploying cloud and

on premises solutions
- Analyze existing system’s needs. Design complex computer systems in hybrid

environments, focusing on security, reliability and scalability
- Analyze the technical decisions regarding the solution, the impact on business and the

processes;

based on their well-architected framework
- Define Infrastructure Strategies and Roadmap
- Provide a cloud technological watch to enable continuous innovation
- Create documentation about migration methodology, architecture solutions, operating

procedures
- Work closely with customer teams, developers and architects to design solid DevSecOps capability

within the organization
- Improve the overall quality of product, deployment, monitoring, with emphasis on resilience,

maintainability, performance, scalability, security and continuous improvement.
Required Technical Skills:
The resource MUST have the following skills and experience:

- Effective communication and analysis skills to break down complex issues and formulate

solutions.
- Ability to be objective in evaluating solutions and making recommendations.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and change, and exercise appropriate time management to meet deadlines

Be able to grasp knew concepts and technologies quickly
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of working in IT infrastructure engineering/architecture
- Experience designing high complexity IT solutions, including previous experience in IT

Security or Infrastructure Projects and web server infrastructure based on Apache and

Ngnix

models
- Strong experience with On-Prem / Private Cloud Infrastructure services using

commercial products (VMware, Dell, HP, Cisco, Microsoft) or OpenSource (Openstack,

Cloudforms, etc.).
- Knowledge of main hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V) and network virtualization (NSX,

etc.)
- Good knowledge of Databases (MS-SQL, Oracle, No Sql)
- Good knowledge of containers, network infrastructure & load balancers
- Good knowledge about Infrastructure and orchestration tools and methodologies

(Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Infrastructure as Code, etc.)
- Good knowledge about site resiliency and disaster recovery best practices and plans

The resource SHOULD have the following skills and experience:

- Good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Ability to work in a team that is geographically dispersed and with teammates of different

cultures
- A high degree of initiative, being independent and able to work with little supervision.
- Be able to work on multiple projects at once
- A high level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential

matters, and show an appropriate level of judgement and maturity
- Ability to deliver quality results
- Experience with Project Management methodologies (PRINCE2/PMP, SCRUM, Agile

methodology)
- Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment; comfortable with uncertainty
- Knowledge of python for cloud and infrastructure automation is desirable
- Excellent technical documentation skills, and ability to deliver technical trainings
- Customer-centric approach to delivery and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English
