Travel Advisor

Key Responsibilities

1. Tour Planning and Coordination
- Design and customize travel itineraries, tour packages, and experiences based on client requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, travel agencies, hotels, airlines, and other service providers to ensure smooth arrangements.
- Negotiate rates and secure bookings for transportation, accommodation, and activities.
- Experience in airline/train ticketing would be an added advantage

2. Customer Service
- Communicate with clients to understand their travel preferences and requirements.
- Provide pre-tour briefings and support to ensure clients are well-informed.
- Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

3. Operational Management
- Oversee the execution of tours, ensuring all logistics are handled effectively.
- Monitor tour progress and resolve any on-ground issues or emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and travel regulations.

4. Sales and Marketing
- Promote tour packages through various channels, including social media, websites, and offline marketing campaigns.
- Identify and target new customer segments to drive business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to foster loyalty.

5. Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and expenses.
- Prepare post-tour reports and gather client feedback for continuous improvement.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for tours and packages.

Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: 1-3 years or more in a similar role, preferably in the travel and tourism industry.
- Skills:

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using travel software, booking platforms, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of global destinations, travel trends, and tourism laws.
- Customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication to interact effectively with clients and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure seamless travel arrangements.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving issues to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Meticulous in planning travel itineraries and ensuring accuracy in bookings and arrangements.
- Dedication to understanding and meeting client needs for personalized service.
- Flexible to work in both office and field settings, possibly traveling with clients.
- Able to work well with colleagues, tour guides, and service providers to deliver cohesive travel experiences.
- Stay updated on travel trends, destinations, and regulations to provide informed advice.
