**Job Description: Quantity Survey and Planning Manager**

**Job Summary**:
The **Quantity Survey and Planning Manager** is responsible for overseeing cost estimation, budgeting, procurement, contract management, and project planning in civil construction projects. This role ensures cost control, financial efficiency, and effective scheduling to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Quantity Surveying & Cost Management**
- Prepare **detailed cost estimates** for projects, including material, labour, and overhead costs.
- Develop **BOQs (Bill of Quantities)** based on design drawings and specifications.
- Evaluate **vendor quotations** and negotiate contract terms to optimize project costs.
- Monitor project **budgeting and cost control** to prevent overruns.
- Manage **interim valuations and payment certifications** for contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct **cost-benefit analysis** and prepare **variation orders (VOs)** for scope changes.
- Perform **value engineering** to optimize construction costs without compromising quality.

**2. Project Planning & Scheduling**
- Develop **project schedules** using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software.
- Ensure **efficient resource allocation** and prepare **work breakdown structures (WBS).**:

- Coordinate with site teams to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Monitor and update the **progress of construction activities**, identifying potential delays.
- Implement **risk management strategies** to mitigate project delays and cost overruns.
- Prepare **weekly/monthly progress reports** and advise management on critical project issues.

**3. Contract Management & Legal Compliance**
- Review and manage **contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.**:

- Ensure compliance with **contractual terms, and local regulations.**:

- Handle **dispute resolution and claims management** related to cost variations or delays.
- Maintain accurate documentation of **contracts, tenders, and project financials.**

**4. Procurement & Vendor Management**
- Coordinate with the procurement team for **material sourcing and vendor selection.**:

- Ensure timely delivery of materials to maintain project continuity.
- Analyse market trends to **benchmark material prices** and recommend cost-saving measures.

**5. Team Coordination & Stakeholder Communication**
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and finance teams.
- Attend client and consultant meetings to present **cost analysis and planning reports.**:

- Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies for approvals and compliance.

**Qualifications & Skills Required**:
**Educational Background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in **Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.**

**Experience**:

- **6 - 8 years of experience** in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and planning within the civil construction sector.
- Experience in **commercial, residential & hospitality projects** is an advantage.

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in **AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.**:

- Knowledge of **contracts, local construction laws, and cost estimation software.**:

- Strong understanding of **construction methodologies, material rates, and financial forecasting.**

**Soft Skills**:

- Excellent **analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.**:

- Strong **leadership and team management** abilities.
- Effective **communication and report-writing** skills.

**Salary Range Rs. 60,000 - Rs 70,000/-**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
