Hiring Medical Coding Trainer in Kochi

**Basic Educational Qualification**
Any Medical, Paramedical and Life science Graduates and Post Graduates (M.B.B.S, B.D.S,
B.H.M.S, B.A.M.S, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, B.P.T, Microbiology, Biochemistry,
Biotechnology, Biology, Bio-Medical graduates, Medical Documentation, Zoology,
Endocrinology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Anatomy, Physiology, Health Education, etc.)
- Primary function is to impart training
- Lead training sessions on Medical Billing & Coding as per the US standard.
- Develop curriculum and training handbook.
- Coordinates the scheduling, tracking and administration of learning programs and events.
- Research, analyse, recommend and develop education and training materials as per industry standards.
- Ensure coding updates are incorporated into training materials and ongoing education.
- Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials
- Develop a schedule to assess training needs
- Test and review created materials periodically
- Train, educate and develop employees and freshers on inpatient and outpatient coding skill sets and competencies based on the industry requirements.
- Review and respond to coding questions
- Research on updated coding issues, reimbursement methodologies, and changes in technology that impact and drive the accurate code assignments.
- Create and conduct coding reviews and tests to assure coding quality.
- Encourage critical thinking and ensure that the students’ knowledge is challenged and probed.
- Create analysis and reviews of the trainees
- Timely updating the scorecards
- Delivering training as per the schedule
- Any change in deviation of schedule should be reported
- Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement
- Hold regular meetings to communicate as per the new coding updates
- Train the trainees to face the certification exams
- Be familiar with the learning objectives of both the Unit and the programme as a guide to progressive learning and a backdrop for evaluation.

**Eligibility Criteria**
- CPC Certified from AAPC
- Must have strong experience in imparting medical coding training
- Must be proficient in ICD-10 coding system
- Must be aware on Coding clinics
- Strong knowledge in Medical Anatomy, Medical Terminology, and the Insurance plans
- Maintain Strong Knowledge in CPT and HCPCS
- Must be aware on CPT assistance
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Need to have basic knowledge in MS- Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- ICD-10-CM/PCS, and CPT coding guidelines; medical terminology; reimbursement guidelines
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding rules and standards
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
- Excellent attention to detail, strong computer skills, and experience in training
- Knowledge of legal, regulatory and policy compliance issues related to medical coding and documentation and billing procedures.
- Knowledge of current and developing issues and trends in medical coding.
- Ability to analyse, problem-solve, and work independently effectively.
- Ability to provide guidance and training to coding professionals and freshers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
