Lady Warden for College Hostel

**Position Overview**:
The Lady Warden is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the college's female hostel, ensuring the safety, well-being, and discipline of the female students residing in the hostel. The role involves managing hostel facilities, maintaining a conducive living environment, and promoting a healthy and supportive atmosphere for students. The Lady Warden will serve as a mentor and counselor while enforcing the institution’s policies and regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Hostel Management**:

- Supervise the daily activities of the hostel and ensure smooth functioning.
- Ensure that hostel premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of residents, including room allocation, attendance, and leave details.
- Monitor the usage of hostel facilities, including common areas, kitchen, and utilities.
- **Student Welfare and Discipline**:

- Provide a supportive and safe environment for students, addressing their concerns and needs.
- Promote good discipline and behavior by enforcing hostel rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure the well-being and safety of students, especially after-hours.
- Address any issues or conflicts among hostel residents promptly and efficiently.
- **Security and Safety**:

- Ensure that all security protocols are followed, including access control and visitor management.
- Organize emergency drills and ensure hostel safety measures are in place (fire safety, first aid, etc.).
- Act as the point of contact in case of emergencies or critical situations within the hostel.
- **Counseling and Mentorship**:

- Act as a mentor to students, offering guidance on personal, academic, and social matters.
- Organize counseling sessions or direct students to professional counselors when necessary.
- Promote healthy living habits, including maintaining proper hygiene, diet, and physical well-being.
- **Administration and Reporting**:

- Prepare and submit regular reports on hostel operations, issues, and incidents to the Hostel Superintendent or the relevant authority.
- Maintain records of hostel activities, student attendance, and any incidents or disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with the hostel staff to organize cultural, recreational, or educational events for students.
- **Coordination with College Administration**:

- Work closely with the college administration to ensure the alignment of hostel policies with overall college rules.
- Ensure compliance with the college's academic calendar, including coordinating hostel check-ins/check-outs, holidays, and other scheduled activities.
- **Other Duties**:

- Manage hostel-related procurement, including stationeries, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Handle grievances, complaints, and requests from hostel residents professionally.
- Provide emergency assistance to students when required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline. A degree in hotel management, psychology, or counseling is preferred.
- Previous experience in hostel administration or as a warden in a residential setting is an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle conflict resolution and maintain discipline effectively.
- Compassionate and understanding with the ability to provide emotional support to students.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patience, responsibility, and a high level of professionalism.

**Working Conditions**:

- The position requires the Lady Warden to be available on a 24/7 basis for emergencies and night-time supervision.
- Regular interaction with students and staff.
- The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with responsibilities extending beyond regular working hours when needed.

**Compensation**:

- Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Accommodation within the hostel premises may be provided.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
