**Summary of the role**:At Skypoint, we are committed to transforming the way data empowers decision-making. We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to help design our data landscape, leverage advanced cloud technologies, and drive data strategy with cutting-edge solutions that power business intelligence and analytics.

**Role Overview**: As a Data Architect, you will be a key player in architecting and implementing complex data solutions to meet business needs. You will utilize your hands-on experience with Azure and Databricks to build efficient, scalable, and secure data architectures. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to turn data into actionable insights, creating data systems that are a foundation for our analytics strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design, architect, and implement scalable data solutions using Azure services, Databricks, and other advanced data technologies.
- Lead the development of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration to ensure data accessibility, quality, and reliability.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective data architectures.
- Define data modeling standards, tools, and best practices to drive consistency across data projects.
- Ensure adherence to data security, compliance, and governance policies throughout the data lifecycle.
- Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and efficiency to meet evolving business needs.
- Guide and mentor data engineering teams on building and maintaining data infrastructure.
- Support projects in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- 8-10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a similar field.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
- Strong experience with Databricks, particularly for data pipeline development and management.
- Expertise in big data and distributed computing frameworks.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with a programming language such as Python or Scala.
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration best practices.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience with additional cloud platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience in machine learning or AI-driven data analytics.
- Exposure to AI technologies and working on AI Data Products is a plus.
