**VIDEO EDITOR**

**SUMMARY**

The Video Editor will be responsible to conceptualize, edit and post edit short films for online platforms using a combination of editing skills proven expertise. Also, review all the footage and create the best output by cutting and connecting various footage, adding sound effects and graphics and fine-tuning the completed video or film.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

The responsibilities of the Video Editor but are not limited to the following:

- Meeting with the director to determine production vision.
- Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer.
- Following a script, screenplay or outline.
- Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list.
- Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.
- Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
- Improving and correcting lighting, coloring and faulty footage.
- Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
- Consulting and work closely with the director and production team throughout the project to present a final product that matches our standard.
- Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format.
- Creating the final cut for broadcasting.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous work experience as a video editor.
- Hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, DaVinci Resolve and Premier.
- Creative and artistic skills.
- Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
- Portfolio of completed film productions.
- Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
- Ability to use Mac and Windows.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of current trends in media and technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography or related field.
- 5 - 6 years of experience in Video Editing.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Being able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work long hours when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
