**Global Capex / MRO Buyer** **Position Summary**: The Global Category Buyer MRO/CAPEX is engaged in capital investment projects from different business units and sites at Oerlikon Surface Solutions. This individual has the ability to develop and implement MRO sourcing strategies to manage and control complex spend and product portfolio. This individual will have time served experience of the category along with strong interpersonal skills to ensure we gain key stakeholder buy in from the start. They will identify, source, negotiate contracts in the best interest of the project and Oerlikon. **Knowledge & Skills Summary**: - Knowledge of category management and procurement of CAPEX/MRO and Indirect Material areas - Experience of using a variety of tools to support sourcing and contract management process - Analytical and innovative thinking as well as solid knowledge of best practices in procurement - Strong team working skills, and ability to operate across teams, cultural and organizational boundaries - Excellent negotiation, facilitation and commercial leadership skills - Experience of working in an ambiguous environment - Generalist thinking and flexible personality and work style to adapt to potential changes in the categories under his/her responsibility - Data driven, strategic thinker, addresses partner and internal / external customer needs; - Excellent written/verbal/presentation communication skills. Ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership internally and externally, and ability to participate and lead in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment; - Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system, and Proficient User of MS Office Suite. - Ability to multi task and prioritize workload - Independent working style and joy in taking responsibility - English and German as the working language is a must both written and oral/presentation; other language will be a great asset; - Willingness to travel globally - Strong team player - Ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership internally and externally, and ability to participate and lead in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment; Intercultural adaptability **Education and work Experience**: - Degree in an engineering or business field, and MBA combined with a professional purchasing qualification (CPM, CIPS, etc.) - Working in a matrix-organization - >5 years’ experience in similar role in a global company **About us** Oerlikon is a global innovation powerhouse for surface engineering, polymer processing and additive manufacturing in key industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, tooling and têxtiles.
