Work Profile We are seeking an experienced and analytical SEO - Senior Specialist to lead optimization efforts, guide team members, and set quality benchmarks for SEO delivery. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for improving search visibility, driving organic traffic, and ensuring alignment between SEO strategies and overall digital marketing objectives. This role demands expertise in advanced SEO practices, hands-on execution, and the ability to mentor Associates, Juniors, and Trainees. As part of a digital marketing agency, you will also collaborate with content, design, SMO, and paid ads teams to deliver integrated campaigns that maximize ROI.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
1. SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement advanced on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies tailored to client objectives.
- Optimize websites for target keywords, content relevancy, and user experience while adhering to SEO best practices.
- Ensure websites are mobile-friendly, fast-loading, and aligned with search engine algorithm updates. 2. Analytics, Insights & Reporting
- Track SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports with actionable insights on traffic, ranking improvements, and conversion trends
- Use data-driven analysis to refine strategies and support decision-making. 3. Process Improvement & Quality Standards
- Establish quality benchmarks for SEO execution across content, link building, and technical audits.
- Identify gaps in current workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Introduce tools, templates, and standard checklists to streamline team output. 4. Team Guidance & Mentorship
- Support and mentor Specialists, Associates, and Juniors (L1-L4) by reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
- Conduct training sessions on new SEO tools, trends, and algorithm updates.
- Encourage best practices, ensuring consistency and high-quality delivery across projects. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Client Communication
- Collaborate with Content, Design, Video, SMO, and Paid Ads teams for integrated campaign success.
- Work closely with the SEO Team Lead (L6) to align efforts with vertical-level objectives.
- Occasionally interact with clients to provide SEO performance updates, explain strategies, and share insights.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Organic traffic growth and improvement in SERP rankings.
- Number of target keywords ranking in top 10 positions.
- Quality and timeliness of SEO audits, reports, and recommendations.
- Contribution to process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Effectiveness in mentoring juniors and reducing rework through knowledge transfer.
- Successful collaboration with cross-functional teams for integrated results. Basic Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4-6 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in a digital marketing agency environment.
- Strong knowledge of on-page SEO, off-page strategies, technical SEO, and local SEO.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, and Google Suite (Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics, and CMS platforms like WordPress or Shopify.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to guide cross-functional collaboration.
You will work closely with:
- SEO Team Lead for strategy alignment and escalations.
- Content, Design, SMO & Paid Ads Teams for integrated digital campaigns.
- Associates, Juniors, and Trainees for mentoring and task guidance.
- Clients (occasionally) to provide SEO updates and performance insights.
