**Job Description**:

- Assisting in Tendering & Proposal Management/Procuring Contracts - QS shall in coordination with project in charge will issue Tenders/RFQs, hold negotiation meetings, finalize contracts, issue work orders/agreements etc. for tender preparation, QS will estimate quantities and do rate analysis.
- Quantity Surveying and preparation of BOQ from the drawings. Study Architects and the engineers building plans. Estimation of material quantities - A QS will measure from the drawings and calculate the quantities of all building materials to procure such as Cement, Sand, Aggregates, Steel, Bricks, Blocks, Tiles, paint, etc.
- Estimation at various stages is required to monitor project cost at various levels. Prepare reports about projected building costs for clients & tracking extra work cost from drawing proactively.
- Visit building sites to monitor actual construction progress and to check that the work is carried out as per budget.
- Recalculate costs if the design or material changes as per revised architectural drawings.
- Rate analysis - Analysis of rates for building works into components/elements (Viz. Labour, materials, machinery, transport, overheads and profit) of work and pricing them. QS should have knowledge of current market rates and shall continuously get updated about material rates.
- Monitoring the requirement & indenting materials. The QS will prepare a Reconciliation statement based on the Qty. of Materials received, Qty. of materials used, and balance on site and then calculate the material wastage.
- Verify and certify the measurements, quantity and rates of contractor’s bill w.r.t.Tender. also analyzing completed work for arranging payment to
- Offer services in value management, comparing building costs to similar buildings.
- Additionally to assist in Billing & Measurement analysis.
- Documentation and record maintenance for Contracts and Billings.
- Prepare a statement of final account recording the actual costs of the project and preparing reports like monthly Cost reports, progress reports, Cash flow reports etc
