Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Modeling and Design
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet business and technical requirements.
- Define data entities, attributes, relationships, and hierarchies to support master data management (MDM) and enterprise data strategies.
- Implement data modeling standards, tools, and methodologies.

2. Data Analysis and Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and analysts to gather and understand data requirements.
- Analyze source systems and data flows to ensure accurate representation of data within models.
- Document data definitions, mappings, and transformations.

3. Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data engineering, and business units, to ensure alignment between data models and organizational goals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on data modeling best practices.
- Present data model designs and changes to stakeholders for review and approval.

4. Data Governance and Standards
- Ensure compliance with organizational data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and enforce data modeling standards and naming conventions.
- Maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.

5. Tools and Technology
- Use data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or similar platforms to create and manage data models.
- Collaborate with database administrators to implement physical data models in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

Support data integration efforts with knowledge of ETL processes and tools.

Role Requirements and Qualifications:

- Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and automation.
- Basic knowledge and practical experience in PySpark for data processing and transformation.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration methodologies.
- Ability to assist in creating and maintaining database schemas, 5+ years' experience
- Awareness of data governance principles and best practices.
