**Function**: University Office
**Level**: Leadership Team
**Role Summary**: The registrar is post of the senior leadership team and is responsible for compliances at the University, engages with the regulators, is the custodian of the records and common seal, and is the member secretary of the board.
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the custody of records, common seal and such other property of the University as may be assigned in his custody, execution of contracts and other University documents.
- Conduct official correspondence and liaison with governments and regulatory agencies;
- Secretarial role of various committees including those that are statutory like the Board of Governors meetings including management of the meetings and maintenance of minutes;
- Manage compliance and disciplinary functions at the University;
- Provide advisory support on audit, accounts, and budget;
- Negotiate on behalf of the University and liaise with Legal;
- Public relations including media, police, etc.
- Coordinate and facilitate external visits to the University as well as organization of University events like Accreditation, Convocation etc.
- Problem solving and resolution of issues faced by and at the University;
- Support the planning function in the Office of the Vice Chancellor;
- Provide support to the Vice Chancellor, as a member of the senior leadership team, on all aspects of governance of the University as required; and
- Any other role assigned by the Vice Chancellor

**Qualification**: Post-Graduate with at least 15 years of managerial experience; preference for those with track record of related work in academic institutions or academic processes, having financial & legal understanding, and with global exposure.
