Key Responsibilities:

- **Design Development**: Create original designs from concept to final product, including sketches, fabric selection, and prototype development.
- **Trend Analysis**: Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to inform design direction.
- **Technical Skills**: Develop detailed tech packs and work closely with pattern makers and garment technicians to ensure designs are accurately translated into final products.
- **Collaboration**: Work with the merchandising, marketing, and production teams to ensure designs are commercially viable and align with brand strategy.
- **Sustainability**: Incorporate sustainable practices and materials into the design process to support our commitment to ethical fashion.
- **Presentation**: Prepare and present design concepts and collections to senior management and stakeholders.
- **Market Research**: Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences, translating insights into compelling designs.
- **Quality Control**: Oversee sample making and fitting processes, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
- **Documentation**: Maintain organized records of designs, fabrics, and trims for easy reference and reproduction.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably within a similar market segment.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD. Knowledge of garment construction and têxtile properties.
- **Creativity**: Strong creative vision with the ability to translate ideas into marketable designs.
- **Attention to Detail**: Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of color, texture, and patterns.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas.
- **Team Player**: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- **Portfolio**: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, from concept to final product.
